بَابُ الطَّائِفِ يَخْرُجُ فِي طَوَافِهِ عَنِ الْحِجْرِ لِيَكُونَ طَائِفًا بِالْبَيْتِ كُلِّهِ مِنْ وَرَاءِ
Chapter: The Tawaf Performer Going Outside the Hijr to Complete Tawaf Around the Entire House
Hadith 4364
عَنْ قُدَامَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى نَاقَةٍ يَسْتَلِمُ الْحَجَرَ بِمِحْجَنِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qudamah bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) riding a camel and performing Istilam (touching) of the Black Stone with his staff.
Hadith 4365
عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقِ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((أَلَمْ تَرَيْ إِلَى قَوْمِكِ حِينَ بَنَوُا الْكَعْبَةَ، اقْتَصَرُوا عَنْ قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام؟)) قَالَتْ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَفَلَا تَرُدُّهَا عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ؟ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لَوْ لَا حِدْثَانُ قَوْمِكِ بِالْكُفْرِ)) قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ: فَوَاللَّهِ لَئِنْ كَانَتْ عَائِشَةُ سَمِعَتْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أُرَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَرَكَ الرُّكْنَيْنِ اللَّذَيْنِ يَلِيَانِ الْحِجْرَ إِلَّا أَنَّ الْبَيْتَ لَمْ يُتَمَّمْ عَلَى قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام إِرَادَةً أَنْ تَسْتَوْعِبَ النَّاسُ الطَّوَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ كُلِّهِ مِنْ وَرَاءِ قَوَاعِدِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَام
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Do you not know that when your people, the Quraysh, rebuilt the House of Allah, they were unable to build it upon the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)?" I said: "So why do you not rebuild it upon the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him)?" The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If your people had not only recently abandoned disbelief, I would have done so." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: By Allah! If Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), then I think that since the House of Allah was not built upon the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him), that is why the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not touch the two corners of the House of Allah on the side of Hatim. In this matter, his intention would have been that when people perform Tawaf of the House of Allah, they complete the circuit of the entire House of Allah built upon the foundations of Ibrahim (peace be upon him).
Hadith 4366
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ أُحِبُّ أَنْ أَدْخُلَ الْبَيْتَ فَأُصَلِّيَ فِيهِ، فَأَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدِي فَأَدْخَلَنِي فِي الْحِجْرِ، فَقَالَ لِي: ((صَلِّي فِي الْحِجْرِ إِذَا أَرَدْتِ دَخُولَ الْبَيْتِ فَإِنَّمَا هُوَ قِطْعَةٌ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَلَكِنَّ قَوْمَكِ اسْتَقْصَرُوا حِينَ بَنَوُا الْكَعْبَةَ، فَأَخْرَجُوهُ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ))
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I wished to enter the House of Allah (the Ka'bah) and pray inside it, but what happened was that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) took my hand and brought me into the Hatim and said to me: If you wish to enter the House of Allah, then pray here, because this too is a part of the House of Allah. However, since your people, the Quraysh, were unable to build the Ka'bah on the foundations of Ibrahim during its construction, they left out this portion from the House of Allah.
