Hadith 4351
Zubair bin Arabi says: A man asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the Black Stone. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kiss the Black Stone and touch it. The man asked: What if there is a crowd? Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Leave this "if and but" in Yemen; I am telling you that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) touch it and kiss it.
Hadith 4352
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) touching the Black Stone; whether there is a crowd or not, I will not abandon touching it.
Hadith 4353
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَكَبَّ عَلَى الرُّكْنِ، فَقَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ حَجَرٌ وَلَوْ لَمْ أَرَ حَبِيبِي صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبَّلَكَ وَاسْتَلَمَكَ، مَا اسْتَلَمْتُكَ وَلَا قَبَّلْتُكَ، {لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ}
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with them both, that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, leaned over the Black Stone and said: I know well that you are a stone; if I had not seen my beloved Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, kissing you and touching you, I would not have touched you nor kissed you. The command of Allah Almighty is: {لَقَدْ کَانَ لَکُمْ فِی رَسُوْلِ اللّٰہِ أُسْوَۃٌ حَسَنَۃٌ} … Indeed, in the actions of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, there is a best example for you.
Hadith 4354
Abis bin Rabi’ah says: I saw Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) looking at the Black Stone and saying to it: If I had not seen the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you either. Then he kissed it.
Hadith 4355
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Umar! You are a strong man, so do not crowd at the Black Stone and cause hardship to the weak. If you find space, then perform Istilam; otherwise, face towards it and say: LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH and ALLAHU AKBAR.
