Hadith 4306
عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((خَمْسٌ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ، كُلُّهُنَّ فَاسِقٌ، يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحَرَمِ: الْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْحُدَيَّا وَالْفَأْرَةُ))
It is narrated from the wife of the Prophet, Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are five kinds of harmful and wicked animals that may be killed even within the Haram: the rabid dog, the scorpion, the crow, the kite, and the mouse.
Hadith 4307
(وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ((خَمْسٌ، فَوَاسِقُ، يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحِلِّ، وَالْحَرَمِ، الْحَيَّةُ وَالْغُرَابُ الْأَبْقَعُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ وَالْحُدَيَّا))
(Second chain) Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are five types of harmful and wicked animals that should be killed everywhere, both inside and outside the boundaries of the Haram: the snake, the crow, the rat, the rabid dog, and the kite (a type of bird of prey)."
Hadith 4308
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَالِثٍ) عَنْ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((خَمْسٌ يَقْتُلُهُنَّ الْمُحْرِمُ: الْحَيَّةُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْغُرَابُ الْأَبْقَعُ وَالْحِدَأَةُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْكَلِبُ، قَالَ ابْنُ جَعْفَرٍ: يُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحِلِّ وَالْحَرَمِ))
(The third chain) It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A person in the state of Ihram may kill these five types of animals: snake, rat, crow, kite, and a rabid dog. These animals may be killed both inside and outside the boundaries of the Haram."
Hadith 4309
(وَمِنْ طَرِيقٍ رَابِعٍ) عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحَلَّ مِنْ قَتْلِ الدَّوَابِّ وَالرَّجُلُ مُحْرِمٌ أَنْ يَقْتُلَ الْحَيَّةَ وَالْعَقْرَبَ، وَالْكَلْبَ الْعَقُورَ وَالْغُرَابَ الْأَبْقَعَ وَالْحُدَيَّا وَالْفَأْرَةَ، وَلَدَغَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَقْرَبٌ فَأَمَرَ بِقَتْلِهَا وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ
(Fourth chain) It is narrated from Hasan that Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) states that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the killing of these five types of animals during Ihram: snake, scorpion, rabid dog, crow, kite, and mouse. Once, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was in the state of Ihram when a scorpion stung him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered it to be killed.
Hadith 4310
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((خَمْسٌ، كُلُّهُنَّ فَاسِقَةٌ، يَقْتُلُهُنَّ الْمُحْرِمُ وَيُقْتَلْنَ فِي الْحَرَمِ: الْفَأُرَةُ، وَالْعَقْرَبُ، وَالْحَيَّةُ، وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ، وَالْغُرَابُ))
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are five kinds of animals that are harmful; even a person in the state of Ihram may kill them, and they may also be killed within the boundaries of the Haram: the mouse, the scorpion, the snake, the rabid dog, and the crow.
Hadith 4311
عَنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدِ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((يَقْتُلُ الْمُحْرِمُ الْأَفْعَى، وَالْعَقْرَبَ وَالْحِدَأَةَ، وَالْكَلْبَ الْعَقُورَ، وَالْفُوَيْسِقَةَ)) قُلْتُ: مَا الْفُوَيْسِقَةُ؟ قَالَ: ((الْفَأْرَةُ)) قُلْتُ: وَمَا شَأْنُ الْفَأْرَةِ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَيْقَظَ وَقَدْ أَخَذَتِ الْفَتِيلَةَ فَصَعِدَتْ بِهَا إِلَى السَّقْفِ لِتُحْرِقَ عَلَيْهِ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: In the state of Ihram, one may kill a snake, a scorpion, a kite, a rabid dog, and a rat. I asked: What is meant by "fuwaysiqah"? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: The rat. I asked: What is the reason for killing the rat? He said: Once it happened that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) woke up and saw that a rat was taking the burning wick of a lamp towards the roof in order to set the roof on fire.
Hadith 4312
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ مَا يَقْتُلُ الْمُحْرِمُ؟ قَالَ: ((الْحَيَّةَ، وَالْعَقْرَبَ، وَالْفُوَيْسِقَةَ، وَيَرْمِي الْغُرَابَ وَلَا يَقْتُلُهُ، وَالْكَلْبَ الْعَقُورَ، وَالْحِدَأَةَ وَالسَّبُعَ الْعَادِيَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Which animals can a Muhrim kill? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He may kill a snake, a scorpion, a rat, a rabid dog, a kite, and a ferocious beast, and he should scare away a crow but not kill it.
Hadith 4313
عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ مَا يَقْتُلُ الْمُحْرِمُ، قَالَ: ((يَقْتُلُ الْعَقْرَبَ وَالْفُوَيْسِقَةَ وَالْحِدَأَةَ وَالْغُرَابَ وَالْكَلْبَ الْعَقُورَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Which animals can a Muhrim kill? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: A scorpion, a mouse, a kite, a crow, and a rabid dog can be killed.
Hadith 4314
عَنْ وَبَرَةَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا يَقُولُ أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الذِّئْبِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ يَعْنِي وَالْفَأْرَةَ وَالْغُرَابِ وَالْحِدَاءِ)) فَقِيلَ لَهُ: فَالْحَيَّةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ، فَقَالَ: قَدْ كَانَ يُقَالُ ذَاكَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded the Muhrim to kill the wolf, the mouse, the crow, and the kite. He was asked: What is the ruling regarding the snake and the scorpion? He said: Yes, they are also mentioned in the narrations.
Hadith 4315
عَنْ زَيْدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَمَّا يَقْتُلُ الْمُحْرِمُ مِنَ الدَّوَابِّ فَقَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي إِحْدَى النِّسْوَةِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((يُقْتَلُ الْحُدَيَّا وَالْغُرَابُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ))
Zaid bin Jubair narrates that a man asked Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) which animals a Muhrim is permitted to kill. He said: A woman narrated to me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The kite, the crow, the rabid dog, the mouse, and the scorpion may be killed.
