Hadith 4181
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) assumed the Ihram for Hajj. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived in Makkah, he performed the Tawaf of the House of Allah, and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah. After that, he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not cut his hair, and because he had a sacrificial animal with him, he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not become halal. And for those who did not have a sacrificial animal with them, he (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed them that after performing Tawaf and Sa’i, they should shave or cut their hair and become halal.
Hadith 4182
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) instructed the people and said: Whoever among you wishes to perform Umrah before Hajj may do so. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) himself assumed Ihram only for Hajj, and did not perform Umrah.

Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him: We, the companions, assumed Ihram with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, solely for Hajj, and nothing else was associated with it.
