Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyidah Dubaa’ah bint Zubair (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I am a woman of heavy body and I intend to go for Hajj. Now, what do you command me regarding how I should enter into Ihram? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Enter into Ihram and stipulate with Allah that: O Allah! I will become lawful (i.e., come out of Ihram) wherever You stop me. Then she performed Hajj.

(Second chain) They said: O Messenger of Allah! I intend to perform Hajj, can I set a condition? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes. She said: Then how should I say it? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Say it like this: Labbayka Allahumma Labbayk, my place of becoming halal will be from the land where You detain me (I am present, O Allah! I am present, my place of becoming halal will be where You stop me).

Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Messenger of Allah came to Sayyida Duba’ah bint Zubair (may Allah be pleased with her) when she was ill. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: “Will you not travel with us on this journey?” while his intention was for the Farewell Pilgrimage (Hajjat al-Wada’). Sayyida Duba’ah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: “O Messenger of Allah! I am ill and I fear that my illness may prevent me.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “You should enter into the state of Ihram for Hajj and say: ‘O Allah! The place where You restrain me, that will be the place where I become released from Ihram.’”

It is narrated from Salim bin Abdullah that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) did not like making conditions in Hajj, and he used to say: "Is the Sunnah of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) not sufficient for you? He (peace and blessings be upon him) did not make any condition."
