Hadith 4138
Under this chapter, the following sub-chapters and hadiths have been mentioned.
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed Dhu’l-Hulaifah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Juhfah for the people of Syria, Yalamlam for the people of Yemen, and Qarn al-Manazil for the people of Najd, and said: These miqats are for the people of these places and for those who pass by them intending Hajj or Umrah. And whoever’s residence is within these boundaries, his miqat is from where he sets out, so much so that the people of Makkah will assume ihram from Makkah itself.
Hadith 4139
(Second chain) It is stated in this: And those people who live within the boundary of this Miqat, they will assume Ihram from the place where they begin their journey, to the extent that the people of Makkah will assume Ihram from Makkah itself.
Hadith 4140
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) from where he should enter into the state of Ihram. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For the people of Madinah, the Miqat is Dhu’l-Hulayfah; for the people of Sham, it is Juhfah; for the people of Yemen, it is Yalamlam; and for the people of Najd, it is Qarn al-Manazil. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said that people have made Dhat ‘Irq analogous to Qarn al-Manazil.
Hadith 4141
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) appointed Dhu’l-Hulayfah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Qarn for the people of Najd, and Juhfah for the people of Sham. Then Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: These three places I myself memorized from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and it was also conveyed to me that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yalamlam is for the people of Yemen. Someone asked him: And what is the miqat for the people of Iraq? He said: In those days, Iraq did not even exist.
Hadith 4142
Abu Zubair says: Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about the places from where the Talbiyah is to be recited. He said: I have heard, then he fell silent. I think he meant the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The miqat for the people of Madinah is Dhu’l-Hulayfah from one route and Juhfah from another; the miqat for the people of Iraq is Dhat ‘Irq; for the people of Najd it is Qarn al-Manazil; and for the people of Yemen, the miqat is Yalamlam.

(Second chain) Abu Zubair says: I asked Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) about the miqat, so he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: The miqat for the people of Madinah is Dhu’l-Hulaifah, ... . Then he narrated the hadith as in the previous narration.
