Hadith 4121
Mujahid says: I and Urwah bin Zubair entered the mosque, where Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was also present. We sat with him. There were some people performing the Duha prayer there. We said: O Abu Abdur Rahman! What prayer is this? He said: This is an innovation (bid’ah). We asked: How many Umrahs did the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) perform? He said: Four, and one of them was in Rajab. Hearing this, we felt shy to point out his mistake. Meanwhile, we heard the sound of Umm al-Mu’minin Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) using the miswak. Urwah bin Zubair said to her: Umm al-Mu’minin! Do you not hear what Abu Abdur Rahman is saying? He is saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed four Umrahs and one of them was in Rajab. Upon hearing this, she said: May Allah have mercy on Abu Abdur Rahman. Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Umrah, he was present at that occasion. In any case, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform any Umrah in Rajab.
Hadith 4122
(Second chain) Urwah bin Zubair says: I and Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) were sitting leaning against the chamber of Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and we were hearing the sound of her using the miswak. I said: Mother! Have you not heard what Abu Abdur Rahman is saying? She said: What is he saying? I said: He is saying that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Umrah in Rajab. She said: May Allah forgive Abu Abdur Rahman, he has forgotten; the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform any Umrah in Rajab. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was listening to all this, but he neither said anything in denial nor in affirmation, rather he remained silent.
