بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي صِحَّةِ حَجِّ الصَّبِيِّ وَالْعَبْدِ مِنْ غَيْرِ إِيجَابٍ لَهُ عَلَيْهِمَا
Chapter: What Has Been Reported Regarding the Validity of Hajj for a Child and a Slave Without It Being Obligatory on Them
Hadith 4079
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالرَّوْحَاءِ، فَلَقِيَ رَكْبًا فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ: ((مَنِ الْقَوْمُ؟))، قَالُوا: الْمُسْلِمُونَ، قَالُوا: فَمَنْ أَنْتُمْ؟ قَالَ: ((رَسُولُ اللَّهِ))، فَفَزِعَتِ امْرَأَةٌ، فَأَخَذَتْ بِعَضُدِ صَبِيٍّ فَأَخْرَجَتْهُ مِنْ مِحَفَّتِهَا، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ! هَلْ لِهَذَا حَجٌّ؟ قَالَ: ((نَعَمْ وَلَكِ أَجْرٌ))
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was at the place of Rauha (on the way back from Makkah to Madinah) when he met a caravan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) greeted them with salam and asked: Who are you people? They replied: We are Muslims. Then they asked: And who are you? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am the Messenger of Allah. Upon hearing this, a woman, in a state of anxiety, grabbed her child by the arm and took him out of the litter and said: O Messenger of Allah! Is there Hajj for this one too? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: Yes, and the reward will be for you.
Hadith 4080
عَنْ جَابِرِ (بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا) قَالَ: حَجَجْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَنَا النِّسَاءُ وَالصِّبْيَانُ وَرَمَيْنَا عَنْهُمْ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): He said, "We performed Hajj with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and women and children were with us, and we threw pebbles on their behalf."
Hadith 4081
عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: حُجَّ بِي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَأَنَا ابْنُ سَبْعِ سِنِينَ
Sayyiduna Sa’ib bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was also made to perform Hajj with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, while I was seven years old.
