Hadith 4034
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unais (may Allah be pleased with him): When people asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about the Night of Qadr in Ramadan, so that they could seek it, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is the twenty-third night.
Hadith 4035
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unais (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I did see the Night of Qadr, but then it was made to be forgotten by me. Now I see myself prostrating in water and mud on the morning of that night. So, on the twenty-third night, it rained and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the (morning) prayer. When he finished the prayer, there was a mark of mud on his forehead and nose.
Hadith 4036
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Anis (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in the last days of Ramadan. We said to him: O Messenger of Allah! When should we seek this blessed night? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Seek it on this very night. This conversation took place on the evening of the twenty-third night. A man said: O Messenger of Allah! Does this mean that among the remaining eight nights, the first night is Laylat al-Qadr? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not the first among the remaining eight, but the first among the remaining seven. This month will not be a complete thirty days.
Hadith 4037
A companion narrates: He says, I looked at the moon on the morning of Laylat al-Qadr, and it appeared to me like half a platter. Abu Ishaq said: On the morning of the twenty-third night, the moon appears like this.
Hadith 4038
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I went out at a time when the moon was rising, and it looked like half a tray. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Tonight is the Night of Qadr.
Hadith 4039
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was sleeping in the month of Ramadan when it was said to me in a dream that tonight is Laylat al-Qadr. I woke up drowsily and held onto the ropes of the tent of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When I came to him, he was performing prayer. It was the twenty-third night.
Hadith 4040
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: How many days of this month have passed? We said: Twenty-two days have passed and eight remain. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, no, rather twenty-two have passed and seven remain. Seek the Night of Qadr in this night; the month is of twenty-nine days.
