Hadith 3820
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man came, pulling at his hair and announcing his own destruction. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: What has happened to you? He said: I have had intercourse with my wife during Ramadan while fasting. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Free a slave or a bondwoman. He said: I cannot do that. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then fast for two consecutive months. He said: I do not have the strength for that either. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then feed sixty needy people. He said: I do not have the means for that either. Meanwhile, a basket was presented to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), in which there were fifteen sa’ of dates. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Take this and feed sixty needy people with it. He said: O Messenger of Allah! There is no household in these two Harrahs (the fields of black stones) of Madinah more needy than mine. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then you and your family eat it.
Hadith 3821
(Third chain) A similar hadith is narrated, however, in this there is an addition of the command to give charity of a camel. In his narration, Amr said: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, had commanded him to fast one day in compensation for it.
Hadith 3822
(Fourth chain) It is narrated: A basket was brought to the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, in which there were dates. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Go and give this as charity, … .
Hadith 3823
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man broke his fast in Ramadan. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to free a slave or a bondwoman, or to fast for two months, or to feed sixty needy people.
Hadith 3824
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in the shade of the fortress of Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), when a man came and said: O Messenger of Allah! I am ruined. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: What is the matter? He said: I have committed intercourse with my wife while fasting in the month of Ramadan. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Sit down. He sat down to one side among the people. Meanwhile, a man came, carrying a sack of dates on his donkey, and said: O Messenger of Allah! This is charity from me. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Where is the one who was burning, the one who was just speaking? He himself replied: Yes, O Messenger of Allah! That is me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Take this and give it as charity. He said: O Messenger of Allah! To whom shall I give charity except to myself and my family? By the One Who sent you with the truth! There is nothing with me or my family. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then take it. So he took it and went away.
