Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) and Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) took suhoor, and when they finished suhoor, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up for prayer. Qatadah says: We asked Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): What was the interval between their finishing suhoor and starting the prayer? He said: The interval was as long as it takes a man to recite fifty verses.
