Hadith 3691
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not fast one or two days before Ramadan, except for a person who habitually fasts on a particular day, then he may fast on that day.
Hadith 3692
Abdullah bin Abi Musa says: I asked Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) about fasting on a doubtful day in the month of Ramadan. She said: Fasting one day in Sha'ban is more beloved to me than abandoning one day of Ramadan. Hearing this, I left from there and asked the same question to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar and Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah. They said: The wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) know these matters better.
