Hadith 3611
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: There are (360) joints in the human body, and it is necessary for him to give charity on behalf of each joint every day. The companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! Who can give so much charity every day on behalf of each joint? He (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Burying the spit lying in the mosque is also charity, removing something harmful from the path is also charity, and if you do not have the strength to do these acts, then two rak‘ahs of Duha (forenoon) prayer will suffice for you (and the charity of all the joints will be fulfilled).

Hadith 3612
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It is obligatory upon the son of Adam that every morning he gives charity on behalf of every joint of his body. This was difficult for the Companions, then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Your saying salam (greeting of peace) to people is also charity, removing something harmful from the path is also charity, enjoining good and forbidding evil is also charity. Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, mentioned many such good deeds, but I do not remember them.

Hadith 3613
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is necessary for every person to give charity daily, and some of its forms are as follows: reconciling between two people is charity, helping someone to mount his ride and seating him on it is charity, placing someone’s belongings on his ride is charity, removing something harmful from the path is charity, speaking a good word is charity, and every step taken towards prayer is also charity.

Hadith 3614
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I repeated this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that it is obligatory for every person to give charity on himself every day. Then I said: O Messenger of Allah! How can I give charity, when we do not possess any wealth? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Saying "Allahu Akbar", "Subhanallah", "Alhamdulillah", "La ilaha illallah", and "Astaghfirullah" is also charity. Enjoining good and forbidding evil is also charity. Removing thorns, bones, stones, etc. from people's path, guiding a blind person, making a mute or deaf person understand something, if you have knowledge, guiding someone who seeks guidance for a need, running quickly to help a distressed person who calls for help, and giving full support to the weak—these are all acts of charity from you for yourself. In fact, even having intercourse with your wife is a cause of reward. Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: How will there be reward for me in my desire? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Tell me, if you had a son, he reached maturity, and you hoped for good from him, but he died—would you be patient over it? I said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Did you create him? I said: No, rather Allah Almighty created him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Did you guide him? I said: No, rather Allah Almighty guided him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Did you provide for him? I said: No, rather Allah Almighty provided for him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is just like that; just as Allah Almighty fulfilled all the needs and necessities of the child, but you received reward for his death. In the same way, if you use your private part in a lawful place and avoid the unlawful, if Allah wills, He will protect it, and if He wills, He will cause it to die, and you will receive reward.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Whoever gives something in charity on behalf of his body, Allah Almighty will make it an expiation for him equal to the amount of his sins.
