بَابُ وَقْتِ إِخْرَاجِهَا
Chapter: The Time for Giving It Out
Hadith 3571
عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِزَكَاةِ الْفِطْرِ أَنْ تُؤَدَّى قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ النَّاسِ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded that the Sadaqat al-Fitr should be given before the people go out for Eid.
Hadith 3572
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) مِثْلُهُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ النَّاسِ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ فِي حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ النَّاسَ قَبْلَ الْفِطْرِ بِيَوْمَيْنِ، فَقَالَ: ((أَدُّوا صَاعًا مِنْ بُرٍّ أَوْ قَمْحٍ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ))، وَتَقَدَّمَ أَيْضًا فِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَضَ زَكَاةَ الْفِطْرِ مِنْ رَمَضَانَ
. (Second chain) It is similar to the previous hadith, except that it explicitly states: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the giving of Zakat al-Fitr before the people went to the Eid prayer ground. In one narration, it is: before going for the Eid prayer. The hadith of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Thalabah (may Allah be pleased with him) has already been mentioned, according to which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a sermon to the people two days before Eid al-Fitr and said: Give one sa’ of wheat as Zakat al-Fitr on behalf of every two persons. Also, in the hadith of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), it has already been stated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made the Zakat al-Fitr of Ramadan obligatory.
