فَصْلٌ مِنْهُ فِي إِرْضَاءِ الْمُصَدِّقِ
Section on pleasing the collector
Hadith 3442
قَالَ: وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((مَنْ يُحْرَمِ الرِّفْقَ يُحْرَمِ الْخَيْرَ))
The Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) also said: Whoever is deprived of gentleness is deprived of (all) goodness.
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ الْعَبْسِيِّ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: أَتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْأَعْرَابِ، فَقَالُوا: يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ! يَأْتِينَا نَاسٌ مِنْ مُصَدِّقِيكَ يَظْلِمُونَنَا، قَالَ: ((أَرْضُوا مُصَدِّقَكُمْ))، قَالُوا: وَإِنْ ظَلَمَ؟ قَالَ: ((أَرْضُوا مُصَدِّقَكُمْ))، قَالَ جَرِيرٌ: فَمَا صَدَرَ عَنِّي مُصَدِّقٌ مُنْذُ سَمِعْتُهَا مِنْ نَبِيِّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا وَهُوَ عَنِّي رَاضٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Some Bedouins came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Prophet of Allah! Your representatives for zakat (in the matter of collecting zakat) act unjustly towards us. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You should please them. They said: Even if they act unjustly? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Just please them. Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Since I heard this hadith from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the zakat representative has always left me pleased.
Hadith 3442

Hadith 3443
عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لِيَصْدُرِ الْمُصَدِّقُ وَهُوَ عَنْكُمْ رَاضٍ)) (وَفِي لَفْظٍ: ((لِيَصْدُرِ الْمُصَدِّقُ مِنْ عِنْدِكُمْ وَهُوَ رَاضٍ)))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The collector of Zakat should return from you people pleased.
