Hadith 3382
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates, he says: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: There is no zakat on silver less than five uqiyahs, no zakat on camels less than five, and no zakat on dates less than five wasqs.
Hadith 3383
Qaza’ah says: I asked Sayyiduna Abu Sa’id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) about zakat on various items. He gave me an answer, but I do not remember whether he attributed this answer to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) or not. In any case, he said: On (200) dirhams of silver, five dirhams are due as zakat; on goats, from (40) to (120), one goat is due as zakat; if it exceeds (120) up to (200), then two goats; if the goats exceed (200) up to (300), then three goats; and after that, for every (100), one goat is due as zakat. For five camels, one goat; for ten, two; for fifteen, three; for twenty, four goats; from (25) to (35), one bint makhad; from (36) to (45), one bint labun; from (46) to (60), one hiqqah; from (61) to (75), one jadh’ah; from (76) to (90), two bint labun; and from (91) to (120), two hiqqahs are due as zakat. After that, for every (50), one hiqqah, and for every (40), one bint labun is obligatory as zakat.
Hadith 3384
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: For every forty grazing camels, one bint labun (a two-year-old she-camel) is due as zakat. The camels (shared to avoid zakat) will not be separated. Whoever gives zakat with the intention of reward will receive its reward, and whoever does not pay it, then we will ourselves take it (by force) from him, and (as a penalty) we will also take some of his camels from among his camels, because this is among the obligatory rights of Allah Almighty, and it is not lawful for the family of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to take anything from it.
Hadith 3385
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is zakat on camels, there is zakat on goats, there is zakat on cows, and there is zakat on wheat as well.
Hadith 3386
Sayyiduna Mu’adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to Yemen as a governor and ordered me to collect one dinar or its equivalent in Ma’afiri cloth (as jizya) from every adult dhimmi, and to collect as zakat two-year-old cows for every forty cows, and a one-year-old calf, male or female, for every thirty cows, and to take one-tenth of the produce from fields irrigated by rainwater, and one-twentieth of the produce from those irrigated by buckets or waterwheels.
