Hadith 3158
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman from the tribe of Juhaina came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and confessed to adultery, and informed that she was also pregnant at that time. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called her guardian and said to him: Treat her kindly, and when she gives birth to the child, inform me. So he did as instructed. Then the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave orders regarding the woman, so her clothes were tied securely around her, and then he ordered her to be stoned, and she was stoned. After that, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) offered her funeral prayer. But Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! First you stoned her, and now you are offering her funeral prayer? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: She has repented with such a repentance that if it were distributed among all the people of Madinah, it would suffice them all. Have you found anything superior to this, that she sacrificed herself for the sake of Allah Almighty?
Hadith 3159
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the tribe of Banu Aslam came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and confessed to committing adultery, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned away from him. He confessed again, but the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) again turned away, until he had testified against himself four times. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "Are you insane?" He replied: "No." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then asked: "Are you married?" He replied: "Yes." Upon hearing this, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that he be stoned to death, so he was taken to the Eid ground or the funeral ground and stoned. When the stones struck him, he ran away, but he was caught and stoned further until he died. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke good words about him, but did not perform his funeral prayer.
