4 hadith
Hadith 3128
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When you perfume the deceased with incense, do so three times.
Hadith 3129
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that a man was traveling with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and his camel threw him in such a way that his neck broke and he died, while he was in the state of ihram. Regarding him, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Bathe him with water and lotus leaves, shroud him in his two garments, do not apply perfume to him, and do not cover his head, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting the talbiyah.
Hadith 3130
(Second chain of narration) They say: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, when a man fell from his camel and his neck broke and he died. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: ... because Allah Almighty will raise him on the Day of Resurrection in the state that he will be reciting the Talbiyah.
Hadith 3132
(Third Chain) There is a similar hadith, except that in it the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered regarding him that he should be washed with water and lote tree leaves and shrouded in two garments. Also, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not apply perfume to him and his head should also be uncovered. After that, Imam Shu’bah narrated this hadith as follows: His head or face should be uncovered, because he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection in such a state that his head will be smeared.
