بَابُ وُقُوفِ الْإِمَامِ لِلنَّاسِ بَعْدَ انْصِرَافِهِمْ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْعِيدِ وَالنَّظَرِ إِلَيْهِمْ وَمَا جَاءَ فِي التَّهْنِئَةِ بِالْعِيدِ
Chapter on the Imam standing for the people after they leave the Eid prayer, looking at them, and what is reported regarding Eid greetings
Hadith 2870
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمًا فِي السُّوقِ يَوْمَ الْعِيدِ يَنْظُرُ وَالنَّاسُ يَمُرُّونَ
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Uthman Taymi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) standing in the market on the day of Eid, watching the people as they passed by.
