Hadith 2831
عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْرُجُ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ وَيُخْرِجُ أَهْلَهُ
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) himself used to go for the two Eids and would also take his family members along.
Hadith 2832
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ بَنَاتِهِ وَنِسَاءَهُ أَنْ يَخْرُجْنَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to instruct his daughters and wives to go out for the two Eids.
Hadith 2833
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَدْ كَانَتْ تَخْرُجُ الْكَعَابُ مِنْ خِدْرِهَا لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that a young girl would come out from behind the curtain hanging in the corner of the house and go towards the Eid prayers at the invitation of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 2834
عَنْ أُخْتِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَوَاحَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ((وَجَبَ الْخُرُوجُ عَلَى كُلِّ ذَاتِ نِطَاقٍ))
The sister of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Rawaha Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is obligatory for every woman who ties a belt around her waist to go out (for Eid).
Hadith 2835
عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِأَبِي وَأُمِّي أَنْ نُخْرِجَ الْعَوَاتِقَ وَذَوَاتِ الْخُدُورِ وَالْحُيَّضَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، فَأَمَّا الْحُيَّضُ فَيَعْتَزِلْنَ الْمُصَلَّى وَيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، قَالَ: قِيلَ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِحْدَاهُنَّ لَا يَكُونُ لَهَا جِلْبَابٌ؟ قَالَ: ((فَلْتُلْبِسْهَا أُخْتُهَا مِنْ جِلْبَابِهَا))
Sayyidah Umm ‘Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), may my parents be sacrificed for you, commanded us that we should bring out the young girls, the veiled women, and the menstruating women on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha (to the Eid ground). However, the menstruating women should stay away from the place of prayer and participate in the goodness of this work and the supplications of the Muslims. Someone asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): What if a woman does not have a cloak? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Her sister should give her a cloak.
