Hadith 2821
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform two rak‘ahs of prayer in his house after Jumu‘ah.
Hadith 2822
Abdullah bin Dinar narrates that when Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would return home after finishing Jumu'ah, he would perform two rak'ahs of prayer and would state that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do the same.
Hadith 2823
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you has performed the Friday prayer, he should offer four (Sunnah) rak‘ahs after it.
Hadith 2824
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When you have performed the Friday prayer, then (afterwards) perform four units (rak‘ahs) of prayer. So if you are in a hurry due to something, then perform two units (rak‘ahs) (in the mosque), and when you return, then perform two units (rak‘ahs) (at home). Ibn Idris says: I do not know whether these words “So if you are in a hurry…” are from the hadith of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, or not.
Hadith 2825
Sa’ib bin Yazid says: I performed the Friday prayer with Sayyiduna Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) in the enclosure. When he finished the prayer with salam, I stood in my place and began to pray. When he (Muawiyah) entered (his house), he sent a message to me. When I arrived, he said: Do not do again what you have just done. Indeed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has commanded that one should not join one prayer to another until one leaves that place or speaks to someone.
