Sayyar bin Ma’rur says: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said in a sermon: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) built this mosque, and only we, the Muhajirun and Ansar, were with him (peace and blessings be upon him). Then, when the crowd increases, a man should prostrate on his brother’s back. Then, seeing some people praying on the road, he said: Pray in the mosque.
