Hadith 2775
Sayyiduna Nabeesha Hudhali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: When a Muslim man performs ghusl on the day of Jumu’ah, then comes to the mosque and does not cause harm to anyone, if he sees that the Imam has not arrived, he continues to pray as long as he deems appropriate, and if he sees that the Imam has arrived, he sits down, listens attentively, and remains silent until the Imam finishes the Jumu’ah and the sermon. If by this action all his sins up to this Jumu’ah are not forgiven, then (I hope) it will be an expiation for the sins committed between this and the previous Jumu’ah.
Hadith 2776
Nafi' reports that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) would go to the mosque early in the morning on Friday, then perform voluntary prayer units with long standing. When the Imam finished (the sermon and prayer), he would return home and offer two units of Sunnah prayer and would say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to do the same.
Hadith 2777
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ghusl on Friday, wears clothes, uses perfume if he has it, then proceeds to the mosque for Jumu’ah with calmness and dignity, does not step over anyone’s shoulders nor cause harm to anyone, then performs prayer as much as is destined for him, then waits until the Imam has finished (the sermon and prayer), then the sins committed between the two Fridays will be forgiven for him.
Hadith 2778
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Sayyiduna Sulaik (may Allah be pleased with him) came and sat down while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to pray two rak‘ahs, and then turned to the people and said: When any of you comes (to the mosque) and the Imam is delivering the sermon, he should perform two rak‘ahs of prayer briefly.
