Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led his companions in prayer. After that, when a man came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Who is there who will trade with him or give charity and pray with him?" Then a man prayed with him.
Hadith 2690
Sulaiman says: I came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was at a place called Balat and people were praying in the mosque. I said: What has prevented you from praying with the people? He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Do not perform one prayer twice in a day.
