بَابُ مَوْقِفِ الصِّبْيَانِ وَالنِّسَاءِ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ
Chapter on the position of boys and women with respect to men and others
Hadith 2627
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنَمٍ قَالَ: قَالَ أَبُو مَالِكٍ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ لِقَوْمِهِ: أَلَا أُصَلِّي لَكُمْ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَفَّ الرِّجَالَ ثُمَّ صَفَّ الْوِلْدَانَ ثُمَّ صَفَّ النِّسَاءَ خَلْفَ الْوِلْدَانِ
Sayyiduna Abu Malik Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) said to his people: Shall I not lead you in prayer as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray? Then he formed a row of men, after that a row of children, and behind the children a row of women.
Hadith 2628
عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: صَلَّيْتُ أَنَا وَيَتِيمٌ كَانَ عِنْدَنَا فِي الْبَيْتِ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً فِي بَيْتِنَا خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَتَاهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي دَارِهِمْ وَصَلَّتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ خَلْفَنَا
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I and an orphan, who used to live in our house, prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and Sayyidah Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) prayed behind us. On that occasion, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had come to their house.
Hadith 2629
عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ جَدَّتَهُ مُلَيْكَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا دَعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِطَعَامٍ صَنَعَتْهُ فَأَكَلَ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((قُومُوا فَلِأُصَلِّيَ لَكُمْ))، قَالَ أَنَسٌ: فَقُمْتُ إِلَى حَصِيرٍ لَنَا، قَدِ اسْوَدَّ مِنْ طُولِ مَا لُبِسَ، فَنَضَحْتُهُ بِمَاءٍ فَقَامَ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُمْتُ أَنَا وَالْيَتِيمُ وَرَاءَهُ وَالْعَجُوزُ مِنْ وَرَائِنَا فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) says: My grandmother Sayyida Maleekah (may Allah be pleased with her) prepared food and invited the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to the house for it. After eating the food, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Stand up, I will lead you in prayer. I got up to bring a mat, which had become black due to long use, so I sprinkled water on it. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood on it, I and an orphan stood behind him, and the old woman stood behind us. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in two rak‘ahs of prayer, then he returned.
Hadith 2630
عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَطَوُّعًا، قَالَ: فَقَامَتْ أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ وَأُمُّ حَرَامٍ خَلْفَنَا قَالَ ثَابِتٌ لَا أَعْلَمُهُ إِلَّا قَالَ وَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ فَصَلَّيْنَا عَلَى بِسَاطٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in a voluntary prayer, Lady Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) and Lady Umm Haram (may Allah be pleased with her) stood behind us, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) made me stand on his right side. We performed the prayer on a mat.
