Hadith 2505
Sayyidah Zaynab Thaqafiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), the wife of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: When any of you goes for ‘Isha prayer, she should not apply perfume.
Hadith 2506
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Women used to perform the morning prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and when they returned, they were so wrapped in their cloaks that they could not be recognized.
Hadith 2507
(Second chain) She says: Indeed, believing women used to perform the morning prayer with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), wrapped in their cloaks, and when they returned to their homes, due to the darkness, no one could recognize them.
Hadith 2508
Sayyida Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) says that since the Muslims were needy, they used to tie a (small) striped sheet as a lower garment, which would reach about halfway down their shins. Therefore, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day should not raise her head (from prostration) until we men have raised our heads." (The reason for this command was that) the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked that the gaze of women might fall upon the private parts of men due to their lower garments being short.
Hadith 2509
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The men used to pray with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and they would tie their lower garments around their necks like children. Therefore, the women were instructed not to raise their heads (from prostration) until the men sat up straight.
Hadith 2510
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that in the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when women finished the obligatory prayers and said salam, they would stand up (to leave), but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and the men who prayed with him would remain seated for as long as Allah willed. Then, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up, all of them would stand up as well.
