Hadith 2498
Sayyidah Umm Humayd, the wife of Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him), came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Indeed, I love to pray with you. He said: I know that you love to pray with me, but your praying in your (private) chamber is better than your praying in your (general) room, and your praying in your (general) room is better than your praying in your house’s courtyard, and your praying in your house’s courtyard is better than your praying in your people’s mosque, and your praying in your people’s mosque is better than your praying in my this (Prophet’s) mosque. Then that woman ordered and a mosque was built for her in the farthest and darkest corner of her house, and she used to pray there until she met Allah Almighty.
Hadith 2499
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best mosques for women are the most secluded places in their homes.
Hadith 2500
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that he met a woman and sensed a very pleasant and strong fragrance from her. Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked her: "Do you intend to go to the mosque?" She replied: "Yes." He asked: "Did you use perfume for this reason?" She replied: "Yes." He said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any woman who applies perfume for the mosque, Allah does not accept her prayer until she performs a bath like the bath of major ritual impurity." Therefore, go back and take a bath.
Hadith 2501
(Second chain) The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A woman who applies perfume to go to the mosque—Allah does not accept her prayer until she returns and performs a bath like the bath of major ritual impurity (ghusl janabah).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: A woman who uses incense should not attend the ‘Isha prayer.

It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from (going to) the mosques of Allah, and they should go without wearing perfume. Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: If the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had seen the condition of women today, he would have forbidden them.
Hadith 2504
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: If the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had seen the conditions of women that we are seeing today, he would have forbidden them from the mosques, just as the Children of Israel had stopped their women. Yahya says: I asked Amrah whether the Children of Israel had really forbidden their women. She said: Yes.
