Hadith 2440
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man's prayer with the congregation is twenty-five or twenty-six times greater than his prayer at home or in the market. And that is because when one of you performs ablution and does it well, then comes to the mosque with no other intention except to perform prayer, and the only thing that brings him out is the prayer, then for every step he takes, one rank is raised for him and one sin is erased, until he enters the mosque. When he enters the mosque, he remains in prayer as long as the prayer keeps him in the mosque, and as long as a person remains in the place where he performed the prayer, the angels pray for him, saying: O Allah! Forgive him, O Allah! Have mercy on him, O Allah! Accept his repentance. (This supplication continues) as long as he does not harm anyone or as long as he does not lose his ablution.
Hadith 2441
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Whoever is pleased with the idea that tomorrow he meets Allah Almighty as a Muslim, then he should guard the obligatory prayers at the place where they are called for, because these are among the ways of guidance, and indeed Allah has prescribed ways of guidance for His Prophet. Each one of you should have a mosque in his house, and if you start praying in your houses, as this one who stays behind prays in his house, then you will have abandoned the Sunnah of your Prophet, and if you abandon the Sunnah of your Prophet, you will go astray. I have seen that only he would stay behind from the prayer whose hypocrisy was evident, and I have seen that a man would be brought (to the mosque) supported by two men, until he was made to stand in the row. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution and performs it well, then comes to the mosque, for every step he takes, one rank is raised for him, or one sin is erased, and one good deed is written for him. (Our situation was such that when we would come to the mosque) we would take short steps (so that due to the abundance of steps, the rewards would increase), and indeed the prayer performed in congregation is twenty-five times more virtuous than the prayer performed alone.
Hadith 2442
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((تَفْضُلُ الصَّلَاةُ فِي الْجَمِيعِ صَلَاةَ الرَّجُلِ وَحْدَهُ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ وَيَجْتَمِعُ مَلَائِكَةُ اللَّيْلِ وَمَلَائِكَةُ النَّهَارِ فِي صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ))، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: اقْرَءُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ {وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا}
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The prayer performed in congregation is twenty-five times more virtuous than the prayer performed alone, and the angels of the day and night gather at the Fajr prayer. Then Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, said: If you wish, recite this verse: {وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ اِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ کَانَ مَشْہُودًا} That is: And the recitation of Fajr; surely the recitation of Fajr is witnessed.
Hadith 2443
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If any one of you knew that when he attends the prayer with me, this prayer would be better for him than one or two fat sheep, then he would surely attend. (Remember that in this prayer) the reward he will receive is even greater than that.

It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever performs ablution well and completely, then goes to the mosque, but finds that the people have already performed the prayer, Allah will grant him a reward equal to that of those who were present at that prayer, while their reward will not be diminished in the least.
