Hadith 2336
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((لَا تُسَافِرُ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ))، وَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي اُكْتُتِبْتُ فِي غَزْوَةِ كَذَا وَكَذَا وَامْرَأَتِي حَاجَّةٌ، قَالَ: ((فَارْجِعْ فَحُجَّ مَعَهَا))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should travel except with a mahram relative. A man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: My name has been registered for such-and-such battle, while my wife is going for Hajj. The Prophet said: Go back and perform Hajj with her.
Hadith 2337
عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لَا تُسَافِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ سَفَرَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ فَصَاعِدًا إِلَّا مَعَ أَبِيهَا أَوْ أَخِيهَا أَوِ ابْنِهَا أَوْ زَوْجِهَا أَوْ مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should travel for three days or more except in the case that her father, or brother, or son, or husband, or any other mahram relative is with her.
Hadith 2338
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: ((لَا تُسَافِرُ الْمَرْأَةُ ثَلَاثًا إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا ذُو مَحْرَمٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No woman should travel for three days except with a mahram relative.
Hadith 2339
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ تُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ تُسَافِرُ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً إِلَّا مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا (وَفِي لَفْظٍ) إِلَّا مَعَ ذِي رَحِمٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not permissible for a woman who believes in Allah and the Last Day to travel for one day and night except with a mahram.
Hadith 2340
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ مُسْلِمَةٍ تُسَافِرُ لَيْلَةً إِلَّا وَمَعَهَا رَجُلٌ ذُو حُرْمَةٍ مِنْهَا
(Second chain) They say that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: It is not permissible for any Muslim woman to travel for one night, except that there must be a mahram man with her.
Hadith 2341
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَالِثٍ) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُسَافِرُ امْرَأَةٌ مَسِيرَةَ يَوْمٍ تَامٍّ إِلَّا مَعَ ذِي مَحْرَمٍ
(The third chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: No woman should travel the distance of a full day except with a mahram. v
Hadith 2342
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا خَرَجَ أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out on a journey, he would draw lots among his wives.
Hadith 2343
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسِيرُ وَحَادٍ يَحْدُو بِنِسَائِهِ فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَإِذَا هُوَ قَدْ تَنَحَّى بِهِنَّ، قَالَ: فَقَالَ لَهُ: ((يَا أَنْجَشَةُ! وَيْحَكَ ارْفُقْ بِالْقَوَارِيرِ))
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was walking, and a camel driver was chanting while driving the camels of the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) smiled, and the driver drove them quickly, taking them far. Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Anjasha! Woe to you, be gentle with the glass vessels."
Hadith 2344
عَنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا كَانَتْ مَعَ نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُنَّ يَسُوقُ بِهِنَّ سَوَّاقٌ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((أَيُّ أَنْجَشَةَ! رُوَيْدَكَ سَوْقًا بِالْقَوَارِيرِ))
Sayyida Umm Sulaym (may Allah be pleased with her) says that she was also with the women of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and a camel driver was chanting for their mounts. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "O Anjasha! Go gently, be gentle with the glass vessels."
