Hadith 2317
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to travel, he would say: "O Allah! With Your help I attack, with Your help I move, and with Your help I travel." ... O Allah! It is only with You that I attack (the enemy), only with You that I move, and only with You that I walk.
Hadith 2318
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to set out on a journey, he would recite this supplication: "O Allah! You are the companion in the journey and the successor over the family. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the burden of heavy provisions in the journey and from a sorrowful return. O Allah! Fold the earth for us (i.e., shorten its distance) and make the journey easy for us." … O Allah! You are the companion in the journey and the successor in our home. O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the burden of many dependents during the journey and from returning unsuccessful from the journey. O Allah! Fold the earth for us (i.e., reduce its distance) and make this journey easy for us. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to return, he would say: "Returning, repenting, worshipping, praising our Lord." … We are returning, repenting, worshipping, and praising our Lord. And when he entered his home, he would say: "Repentance, repentance, to our Lord we return, a return that leaves no sin upon us." We repent, we repent, and we turn to our Lord, who leaves no sin upon us (rather, He forgives all).
Hadith 2319
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sarjis (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out on a journey, he would recite this supplication: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from the hardships of travel, from sorrow upon return, from loss after abundance, from the supplication of the oppressed, and from an evil sight in wealth and family." (O Allah! I seek Your protection from the difficulties of travel, from the grief of returning, from loss after increase, from the supplication of the oppressed, and from an evil sight in wealth and home.)
And when he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned, he would repeat these words, except that in the last sentence he would say: "and from an evil sight in family and wealth." (And in my family and wealth from an evil sight.) That is, in this the word "family" comes first (and "wealth" after it).
Hadith 2320

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out for a battle or any other journey and night fell during the way, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite this supplication: "O earth! My Lord and your Lord is Allah. I seek refuge in Allah from your evil, the evil within you, the evil of what has been created in you, and the evil of what crawls upon you. I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of every lion, every black creature, snake, and scorpion, and from the evil of the inhabitant of this land, and from the evil of every parent and what it gives birth to." (O earth! My Lord and your Lord is Allah. I seek Allah’s protection from your evil, from the evil within you, from the evil of what has been created within you, and from the evil of what crawls upon you. I seek Allah’s protection from the evil of every lion, person, snake, and scorpion, and from the evil of the inhabitant of this area, (in short) from the evil of every parent and every offspring.)
Hadith 2322
Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that I heard Sayyida Khawla bint Hakim Salmiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrate that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever stops at a place and recites this supplication: "A’udhu bikalimatillahi at-tammati kulliha min sharri ma khalaq." (I seek refuge in all the perfect words of Allah from the evil of whatever He has created), then nothing will harm him until he departs from that place.
Hadith 2323
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that we used to travel with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When we ascended (to a high place), we would say "Allahu Akbar," and when we descended (from a high place), we would say "Subhan Allah."
Hadith 2324
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would ascend a hill or a high place, he would say: "O Allah! To You belongs honor over every honor, and to You belongs praise over every praise." (According to the wording of one narration, he would say:) "And to You belongs praise in every circumstance." … O Allah! Honor and status on every high place is only for You, and (the real) praise on every kind of praise is only for You. And (according to one narration) in every circumstance, praise is only for You.
