Hadith 2097
It is narrated from the wife of the Messenger, Sayyidah Hafsah bint Umar (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) used to perform the two rak‘ahs before the Fajr prayer in my house, and he would offer them with great brevity.
Hadith 2098
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says that when the muezzin would become silent after the Fajr adhan, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would offer two light rak‘ahs.

It is also narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform two rak'ahs before the Fajr prayer, and he would make them so brief that I would begin to doubt whether he had recited Surah Al-Fatihah or not.
Hadith 2100
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the standing (qiyam) of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) in the Sunnah prayers of Fajr was equal to the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha.
Hadith 2101
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah Al-Kafiroon and Surah Al-Ikhlas in a low voice during the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr.
Hadith 2102
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best surahs are those which are recited in the Sunnah prayers before the Fajr prayer, that is, Surah Al-Kafiroon and Surah Al-Ikhlas.

عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: رَمَقْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْفَجْرِ {قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ} وَ{قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ}
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I observed carefully that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah Al-Kafiroon and Surah Al-Ikhlas in the two rak'ahs before the Fajr prayer.
