It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, prayed in a striped Yemeni sheet. I think that he, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, had tied a knot between its two ends.

It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says that the last prayer which the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed with the people, following Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), was in a single garment, with which he (peace and blessings be upon him) had made a stripe.

Ibrahim bin Abu Rabiah says: We entered upon Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) and he was praying wrapped in a single cloth, while his sheet was placed separately. I said: Do you pray in a single cloth? He said: Indeed, I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) praying in this manner.

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a person prays in a single garment, he should place its two ends opposite each other and put its ends over his shoulders.

It is narrated from Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) performed prayer while he had a cloak belonging to one of his wives over him, and a part of it was over that wife. Sufyan says: I think he said that she was menstruating.

Abdullah bin Shaddad bin Haad says: I heard my maternal aunt, the wife of the Messenger, Lady Maymunah bint Harith (may Allah be pleased with her), narrate that she would be menstruating and lying in front of the place of prostration of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), while he would be praying on his mat. When he would prostrate, an edge of his garment would touch me.

(Second chain) She says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, would get up and pray at night while I would be sleeping at his side. When he would prostrate, his clothes would touch me, while I was menstruating.
