It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would be praying at home and the door would be closed. Then when I would come, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would walk forward, open the door for me, and return to his place. Then she stated that the door was in the direction of the Qiblah.

(Second chain) She says: I knocked at the door while the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was praying. So he moved to the right side or to the left side towards the Qiblah, until he opened the door for me. Then the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, returned to his prayer mat.

Azraq bin Qais says: Sayyiduna Abu Barzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) was at the place of Ahwaz on the bank of a river. He took the reins of his mount in his hand and started the prayer. Meanwhile, the mount began to move backward and he also started moving backward with it. A Khariji man saw this scene and said: O Allah! Humiliate this old man, how is he performing the prayer? When he finished the prayer, he said: I have heard what you said. (The reality is that) I have participated in six or seven or eight expeditions with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I have observed his dealings and his leniency, (from which I have deduced that) my moving backward with the mount during the prayer is lighter than if I had left it and it had gone towards its pasture, and that would have caused me hardship. Sayyiduna Abu Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) had performed two rak‘ahs of the ‘Asr prayer.
