Hadith 1906
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: My beloved (Prophet) ﷺ instructed me regarding three things and forbade me from three things. He advised me (while instructing) that I should perform Witr before sleeping, fast three days every month, and offer two units of Duha (forenoon) prayer. And the Prophet ﷺ forbade me from turning here and there (in prayer), sitting like a monkey, and pecking like a rooster.
Hadith 1907
(Second chain) There is a similar narration, except that it states: And he forbade me from pecking like a rooster, sitting like a dog, and looking around like a fox.
Hadith 1908
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Those who laugh in prayer, those who peep, and those who crack their fingers are of the same rank.
Hadith 1909
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty remains attentive to the servant’s prayer as long as he does not turn away here and there; but when he turns his face away, Allah Almighty turns away from him.
Hadith 1910
Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about glancing around during prayer, so he said: This is snatching, which Satan snatches from a servant’s prayer.
Hadith 1911
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Darda’ (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: “O people! Avoid turning (your face) away, for the one who turns away has no prayer. If you are overcome in voluntary prayers (then you may look), but in any case, do not be overcome in the obligatory prayers.”
Hadith 1912
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) entered upon me in the mosque while I had interlaced my fingers. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Ka'b! When you are in the mosque, do not interlace your fingers, because as long as you remain waiting for the prayer, you are considered to be in prayer."
Hadith 1913
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin 'Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution at home and then leaves (for the mosque) solely for the purpose of prayer, he remains in the state of prayer until he completes the prayer. And none of you should intertwine his fingers with each other during the prayer.
