Hadith 1854
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate after his prayer: O Allah! Our Lord and the Lord of everything, I bear witness that You alone are the Lord, You have no partner. Our Lord and the Lord of everything, I bear witness that Muhammad is Your servant and Your Messenger. Our Lord and the Lord of everything, I bear witness that all the servants are brothers. O Allah! Our Lord and the Lord of everything! Make me and my family sincere to You in every moment of this world and the Hereafter. O Possessor of Majesty and Honor! Hear and accept. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, the Light of the heavens and the earth. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, Allah is sufficient for me and He is the best Disposer of affairs. Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest.
Hadith 1855
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once took his hand and said: O Mu'adh! Indeed, I love you. Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him: May my parents be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! I also love you. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: O Mu'adh! I advise you that you must never leave reciting this supplication after every prayer: "Allahumma a'inni 'ala dhikrika wa shukrika wa husni 'ibadatika." (O Allah! Help me to remember You, to thank You, and to worship You in the best manner). Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) gave this same advice to Abu Abdur Rahman Sanabihi, and he gave it to Uqbah bin Muslim.
Hadith 1856
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you wish to supplicate with full effort? Then say like this: "Allahumma a'inna 'ala shukrika wa dhikrika wa husni 'ibadatika." (O Allah! Help us to thank You, remember You, and worship You in the best manner.)
Hadith 1857
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would finish the morning prayer with salam, he would recite this supplication: "O Allah! Indeed, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, ample provision, and accepted deeds." In another narration, instead of "ample" (wasi'an), the word "pure" (tayyiban) is used.
Hadith 1858
Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), describing the way the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed prayer, says: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished the prayer with salam, he would recite this supplication: "O Allah! Forgive me for what I have sent forth and what I have delayed, what I have done secretly and what I have done openly, what I have exceeded in, and what You know better than I do. You are the One who brings forward and You are the One who delays. There is no deity worthy of worship except You." (O Allah! Forgive for me those (sins) which I committed earlier and those which I committed later, and those which I committed secretly and those which I committed openly, and those in which I exceeded, and those which You know better than I do. You are the One who brings forward and You are the One who delays. There is no true deity except You.)
Hadith 1859
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Harith Tamimi (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: When you have performed the morning prayer, before speaking to anyone, recite this supplication seven times: "Allahumma ajirni min an-naar" (O Allah! Save me from the Fire). If you die on that day, Allah Almighty will write for you protection from the Fire. And similarly, when you have performed the Maghrib prayer, before speaking to anyone, recite this supplication seven times: "Allahumma inni as'aluka al-jannah, Allahumma ajirni min an-naar" (O Allah! I ask You for Paradise, O Allah! Save me from the Fire). If you die that night, Allah Almighty will write for you protection from the Fire.
Hadith 1860
Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to teach us some words to recite in prayer or at the end of prayer. Those words are: O Allah, indeed I ask You for steadfastness in the matter, and I ask You for determination upon guidance, and I ask You for gratitude for Your blessing, and for the best worship of You, and I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue, and I seek Your forgiveness for what You know, and I ask You for the good of what You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You know. (O Allah, indeed I ask You for steadfastness in every matter, I ask You for firmness in goodness, I ask You for the ability to be grateful for Your blessings and to worship You in a good manner, I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue, I seek Your forgiveness for those (sins) which You know, I ask You for every good which You know, and I seek refuge in You from every evil which You know.)
