It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abzi that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Fajr prayer and left out a verse. When he finished the prayer, he asked: "Is Ubayy bin Ka'b among the people?" Sayyiduna Ubayy said: "O Messenger of Allah! Has such-and-such verse been abrogated or did you forget it?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I forgot it."
Hadith 1657
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sa’ib (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began reciting Surah Al-Mu’minun in the Fajr prayer. When he reached the mention of Musa and Harun (peace be upon them), he (peace and blessings be upon him) started coughing, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the bowing (ruku) at that point.
Hadith 1658
Sayyiduna Musawwar bin Yazid Asadi (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer and (while reciting) left out a verse. (When he finished) a man said: O Messenger of Allah! You left out such-and-such verse. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then why did you not remind me?
