Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) used to perform voluntary prayers at night, and Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) would be lying between him and the Qiblah.
Hadith 1498
Muhammad bin Ja'far bin Zubair says that 'Urwah bin Zubair narrated this hadith to the governor of Madinah, 'Umar bin 'Abd al-'Aziz, from the wife of the Messenger, Sayyidah 'A'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pray towards 'A'ishah while she was lying in front of him. Abu Umamah bin Sahl said: Abu 'Abdullah! Perhaps he said that she used to lie beside him? Upon hearing this, 'Urwah said: I am informing you with certainty and you are speaking to me with conjecture; (the reality is that) she used to lie in front of him just like a corpse (i.e., in the manner of a funeral).
Hadith 1499
Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) came to our settlement to meet Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) performed the Asr prayer there, while our small bowl and a donkey, which was grazing, were in front of him. But neither were they moved back nor were they scolded.
