Hadith 1494
Busr bin Sa’d says that the nephew of Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka’b (may Allah be pleased with him), Abu Juhaim, sent me to Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) to ask him what he had heard regarding someone passing in front of a person who is praying. He said that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: If (the passerby) stands for forty, it is better for him than to pass in front (of the one praying). Now I do not know whether forty days, months, or years are meant.
Hadith 1495
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If any one of you were to know the sin incurred by passing in front of someone who is whispering to Allah (i.e., engaged in prayer), he would prefer to stand at that place for a hundred years rather than take such a step.
Hadith 1496
Yazid bin Numran, may Allah have mercy on him, says: I met a disabled man in Tabuk who was unable to walk, and I asked him about (the cause of) his disability. He said: I once rode a donkey or a she-donkey and passed in front of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, while he was praying. Upon seeing this, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "He has cut off our prayer, may Allah cut off his walking." Thus, I became disabled.
