Hadith 1458
Sayyiduna Usamah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I entered the House of Allah (the Ka'bah) with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) sat there and praised and glorified Allah, and proclaimed His greatness and oneness. Then he stood facing the part of the House of Allah in front of him and placed his chest, cheek, and hands upon it. Then he proclaimed the greatness and oneness of Allah and supplicated as well. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did the same at all the corners. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) came out and, standing at the door, faced the Qiblah and said two or three times: This is the Qiblah, this is the Qiblah.
Hadith 1459
Ibn Jurayj says that I asked Ata: Did you hear Sayyiduna Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) saying that you have only been commanded to perform Tawaf of the House of Allah, not to enter it? He replied: He did not prohibit entering it, but I heard him narrate: Sayyiduna Usama ibn Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) told me that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the House of Allah, he supplicated in all its corners and did not perform prayer until he came out. After coming out, he performed two rak‘ahs facing the Qiblah and said: This is the Qiblah.
