Hadith 1306
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had a muezzin who, after calling the adhan, would wait and not say the iqamah. When he saw that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had come out (from his house), he would then begin to say the iqamah.
Hadith 1307
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the call for prayer is made, and according to another narration, when the Iqamah for prayer is pronounced, do not stand up until you see me.
Hadith 1308
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Bilal! Make such an interval between your adhan and iqamah that the one who is eating can easily finish his food, and the one who is performing ablution can comfortably fulfill his need."
Hadith 1309
Ziyad bin Nu'aym Hadrami narrates that Sayyiduna Ziyad bin Harith Sudai (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the adhan, then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to give the iqamah, but the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O brother of Suda'! The one who has given the adhan should give the iqamah."
Hadith 1310
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ziyad bin Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Brother of Sada! Call the Adhan." Ziyad says: So I called the Adhan, and this was at the time when the dawn had become bright. When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution and stood up for prayer, Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to say the Iqamah, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sada'i should say the Iqamah, because the one who calls the Adhan, he should also say the Iqamah."
Hadith 1311
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zaid (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw the dream of the Adhan. He says: I came and informed the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but he said: Teach these words to Bilal. So I taught them to Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him), then he gave the Adhan. When Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) intended to say the Iqamah, I said: O Messenger of Allah! I saw the dream, so I wish to say the Iqamah myself. Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: (Alright) you say the Iqamah. Thus, Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said the Iqamah, while Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) had given the Adhan.
