Hadith 1244
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If people knew what virtue lies in calling the Adhan and being in the first row, they would cast lots for it. And if people knew what reward there is in hastening towards the prayer, they would try to outdo each other in it. And if they knew what reward there is in the Isha and Fajr prayers, they would surely join these two prayers even if they had to come crawling on their knees. Abdul Razzaq says: I asked Malik whether it is disliked to call the Isha prayer ‘Atamah’? He said: The one who narrated the hadith to me said it in this way.
Hadith 1245
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If people knew what (reward and merit) there is in calling the Adhan, they would fight each other with swords for it (to attain that reward).
Hadith 1246
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Your Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, is amazed (that is, pleased) with the shepherd of goats who calls the Adhan and performs prayer on the top of a mountain. Allah Almighty says: Look at My servant; he calls the Adhan and the Iqamah, he fears someone (other than Me), surely I have forgiven him and admitted him to Paradise.
Hadith 1247
And with another chain of narration, the words of the reported hadith are as follows: They say that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Your Lord is amazed, then the meaning of the previous hadith was explained, however, the final words were stated as follows: He fears Me, so I have forgiven him and admitted him into Paradise.
Hadith 1248
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and we heard a caller giving the adhan, saying: Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard these words, he said: This person is upon the natural disposition (fitrah) of Islam. Then when he said: Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has been saved from (the fire of) Hell. Then we hurried towards him, and he was a shepherd of animals, whom the prayer had reached, so he gave the adhan.
Hadith 1249
A narration similar to the previous hadith is reported from Sayyiduna Mu’adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him), except that in this one the words are: When the caller to prayer said “Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah,” the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has borne witness to the truth. When he said “Ashhadu anna Muhammadan Rasulullah,” the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has come out of the Fire. Look, you will find him either a shepherd who has gone far in search of grass or a hunter hunting with dogs. And in another narration: You will find him a shepherd of goats or someone who has gone far from his family. Then when they looked, it turned out to be a shepherd, and since the time for prayer had come, he had called the adhan.
Hadith 1250
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty forgives the muezzin to the extent of the reach of his voice, and every moist and dry thing that hears his voice bears witness for him.
Hadith 1251

Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The muezzin is forgiven to the extent his voice reaches, and every dry and wet thing bears witness for him. For the one who performs prayer in congregation, twenty-five good deeds are written, and the sins committed between the two prayers are erased.
Hadith 1253
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The Imam is a guarantor and the Mu’adhdhin is trustworthy. O Allah, guide the Imams and forgive the Mu’adhdhins.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Bara’ bin ‘Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Surely Allah Almighty and His angels send mercy upon the people of the first row, and the muezzin is forgiven to the extent his voice reaches, and every dry and wet thing that hears him testifies to him, and he will also receive the reward of those who pray with him.
