Hadith 1201
عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((صَلَاتَانِ لَا يُصَلَّى بَعْدَهُمَا، الصُّبْحُ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَالْعَصْرُ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him), the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are two prayers after which no further prayer is to be performed: one is the Fajr prayer, until the sun rises, and the other is the Asr prayer, until the sun sets.
Hadith 1202
عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) has narrated a similar hadith of the Prophet.
Hadith 1203
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ مَرْفُوعًا: ((لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ الشَّمْسُ أَوْ تَضْحَى))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no prayer after the Asr prayer until the sun sets, and there is no prayer after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises high or the time of Duha comes.
Hadith 1204
عَنْ نَصْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ الْقُرَشِيِّ أَنَّهُ طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ مَعَ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ أَوْ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ فَسَأَلْتُهُ فَقَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ صَلَاتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْغَدَاةِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ))
Nasr bin Abdur Rahman narrates that he performed Tawaf of the Ka'bah after Asr or Fajr with his grandfather, Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Afra' Qurashi (may Allah be pleased with him), but his grandfather did not offer the prayer of Tawaf. When Nasr asked him about this, he replied: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no prayer after two prayers: after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises, and after the Asr prayer until the sun sets.
Hadith 1205
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: شَهِدَ عِنْدِي رِجَالٌ مَرْضِيُّونَ وَأَرْضَاهُمْ عِنْدِي عُمَرُ (بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ) أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ: ((لَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ وَلَا صَلَاةَ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The beloved people bore witness to me, and the most beloved among them to me is Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him), they bore witness that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no prayer after Asr until sunset, and after Fajr until sunrise.
