Hadith 1196
Under this chapter, the following sub-chapters and hadiths have been mentioned.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Abasah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Teach me from the knowledge that Allah Almighty has granted you." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you have performed the Fajr prayer, refrain from further prayer until the sun rises. When it is rising, do not pray until it has fully risen, for it rises between the two horns of Satan, and at that time the disbelievers prostrate to it. When it has risen to the height of one or two spears, then pray, for indeed the angels are present at that prayer. When the spear stands upright over its shadow, refrain from prayer, for at that time Hell is kindled. When the shadow returns (from the west to the east), then pray, for the prayer at this time is attended (by angels), until you perform the Asr prayer. When you have performed the Asr prayer, refrain from further prayer until the sun sets, for it sets between the two horns of Satan, and at that time the disbelievers prostrate to it."
Hadith 1197
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka’b bin Murrah Bahzi (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, “O Messenger of Allah! At which part of the night is supplication most heard?” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “In the last third of the night.” Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Then there is the prayer that is accepted, until the Fajr prayer is performed; after that, there is no prayer, until the sun rises to the height of one or two spears. After that, it is the time for accepted prayer, until the shadow stands with the spear; then there is no prayer, until the sun declines. Then it is the time for accepted prayer, until the sun remains raised to the height of one or two spears; then there is no prayer until it sets.” Furthermore, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “When you wash your face (in ablution), the errors will come out from your face; when you wash your arms, the sins will come out from your arms; and when you wash your feet, the sins will come out from your feet.”
Hadith 1198
Sayyiduna Abu Abdullah Sanabahi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Verily, the sun rises between the two horns of Satan, so when it becomes high, he separates from it. Then when the sun reaches the middle of the sky, Satan joins it, and when it declines, he separates from it. And when it is about to set, Satan joins it again, and when it sets, he separates from it. Therefore, do not perform prayer during these three times.
Hadith 1199
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to forbid us from performing prayer and burying the dead at three times: when the sun is rising until it becomes high, when the one standing at noon stands, and when it inclines for setting until it sets.
Hadith 1200
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Safwan bin Mu'attal Salmi (may Allah be pleased with him), he asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I want to ask you about something which you know, but I do not know. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What is it? He said: Are there such hours during the day and night in which it is disliked to perform prayer? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, when you have performed the Fajr prayer, then refrain from performing any more prayer until the sun rises. When the sun has risen, then perform prayer, for indeed that prayer is presented and accepted, until the sun is at the height of a spear above your head. When it is above your head, then at that time Hell is kindled and its doors are opened, until it declines from your right side. When it declines from your right side, then perform prayer, for the prayer at that time is presented and accepted, until you have performed the Asr prayer.
