Hadith 977
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A woman experiencing istihada (non-menstrual bleeding) will perform prayer, even if her blood continues to flow onto the mat.
Hadith 978
Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) also narrates that among the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), there was a woman who suffered from istihada (non-menstrual bleeding). She performed i'tikaf with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while she continued to see yellow and red blood. Sometimes, we would place a basin underneath her while she was praying.
Hadith 979
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the woman who, after purification, continues to see (such blood) that causes her doubt: This is an issue of a vein.
Hadith 980
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: In the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), women in postnatal bleeding would sit for forty days or forty nights after giving birth, and we used to apply wars herb abundantly on our faces because of freckles.
