Hadith 975
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (RA) that Sayyida Salma or Suhailah bint Suhail (RA) was afflicted with the blood of Istihada. She came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked about this matter. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her to perform ghusl (ritual bath) for every prayer. But when this became difficult for her, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) instructed her to perform one ghusl for Zuhr and Asr together, one ghusl for Maghrib and Isha together, and a separate ghusl for the Fajr prayer.
Hadith 976
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that a woman suffering from istihada (non-menstrual bleeding) asked about her condition during the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him). Someone told her: "This is a vein that has gone beyond its normal state." Then she was instructed to delay the Zuhr prayer and hasten the Asr prayer and perform one ghusl (ritual bath) for both; and similarly, to delay the Maghrib prayer and hasten the Isha prayer and perform one ghusl for both; and to perform a separate ghusl for the Fajr prayer.
