Hadith 967
It is narrated from Sayyida Fatima bint Abi Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I went to Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and said: O Mother of the Believers! I am afraid that I have no share in Islam and that I will be among the people of Hell, because since the day I have been experiencing the blood of istihada (non-menstrual bleeding), I have been in a state of stoppage and have not been offering any prayer to Allah Almighty. She said: Sit here until the arrival of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When he (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, she said: O Messenger of Allah! This is Sayyida Fatima bint Abu Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her), she is afraid that she has no share in Islam and is among the people of Hell. The reason is that since the days of istihada, she has been in a state of stoppage and is not offering prayer to Allah Almighty. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Instruct Fatima that she should refrain (from fasting and prayer) during her menstrual days each month, then after performing ghusl (ritual bath), she should place some cotton or the like on her private part, tie a cloth tightly, attain cleanliness, perform ablution for every prayer, and then offer the prayer. This is a blow from Satan, or a vein has burst, or some illness has occurred.
Hadith 968
Sayyida Fatimah bint Abu Hubaysh (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that she came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and complained to him about bleeding. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This is an issue of a vein, so observe that when you have menstruation, do not perform prayer. When the menstruation ends, attain purification and then perform prayer from the end of this menstruation until the next menstruation.
Hadith 969
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (RA) that Sayyida Fatima bint Abu Hubaysh (RA) came to the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I am afflicted with the blood of Istihada (non-menstrual bleeding). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Leave the prayer during your menstrual days, then perform ghusl (ritual bath) and, after making wudu (ablution) for every prayer, perform the prayer, even if the blood continues to drip onto the mat.
Hadith 970
The wife of the Messenger, Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), narrates that during the time of the Prophet, a woman began to bleed. So when Sayyida Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) asked for a ruling for her, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: She should observe the number of nights and days in a month during which she used to have her menstruation; when she has completed that duration, she should perform ghusl (ritual bath), tie a cloth around herself, and start performing prayers.
Hadith 971
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (RA) that Sayyida Umm Habiba bint Jahsh (RA), who was the wife of Sayyida Abdur Rahman bin Auf (RA), experienced so much bleeding due to istihada that she would not become pure. When her case was presented before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: This is not menstruation; rather, a vein in the womb has been struck. The woman should leave prayer for as many days as her menstruation used to last, and then see how many days (of purity) remain after that. During those days, she should perform ghusl for every prayer and offer it.
