فَصْلٌ فِي جَوَازِ مُؤَاكَلَةِ الْحَائِضِ وَطَهَارَةِ سُؤْرِهَا
Section on the Permissibility of Eating with a Menstruating Woman and the Purity of Her Leftover Water
Hadith 952
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: إِنْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيُؤْتَى بِالْإِنَاءِ فَأَشْرَبُ مِنْهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيِّ، وَإِنْ كُنْتُ لَآخُذُ الْعَرْقَ فَآكُلُ مِنْهُ ثُمَّ يَأْخُذُهُ فَيَضَعُ فَاهُ عَلَى مَوْضِعِ فِيِّ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: A vessel would be brought to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I would drink from it first while I was menstruating, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take the vessel and place his mouth where my mouth had been. And I would take a bone with meat on it and eat from it by gnawing the meat off, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would take it and place his mouth where my mouth had been.
Hadith 953
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ مُؤَاكَلَةِ الْحَائِضِ فَقَالَ: ((وَآكُلْهَا))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about eating food with a menstruating woman, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Eat with her.
