بَابُ كَفَّارَةِ مَنْ وَطِئَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ
Chapter on the Expiation for One Who Has Intercourse with His Wife While She Is Menstruating
Hadith 935
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الَّذِي يَأْتِي امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ((يَتَصَدَّقُ بِدِينَارٍ أَوْ بِنِصْفِ دِينَارٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that regarding a man who has intercourse with his menstruating wife, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He should give charity of one dinar or half a dinar.
Hadith 936
(وَعَنْهُ بِلَفْظٍ آخَرَ) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الرَّجُلِ يَأْتِي امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ، قَالَ: ((يَتَصَدَّقُ بِدِينَارٍ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَنِصْفُ دِينَارٍ))
(Second narration) Regarding the man who has intercourse with his menstruating wife, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He should give one dinar in charity; if he does not have the strength for that, then he should give half a dinar in charity.
