Hadith 915
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ وَمَنْ حَمَلَهُ فَلْيَتَوَضَّأْ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever bathes a deceased person should perform ghusl himself, and whoever lifts him should perform wudu.
Hadith 916
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: ((مِنْ غُسْلِهَا الْغُسْلُ وَمِنْ حَمْلِهَا الْوُضُوءُ))
(Second chain) The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: After washing the deceased, one must perform ghusl (full ritual bath), and after carrying the deceased, one must perform wudu (ablution).
Hadith 917
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَالِثٍ) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا فَلْيَغْتَسِلْ))
(The third chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever bathes a deceased person should also perform ghusl (ritual bath) himself.
Hadith 918
عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُهُ
Sayyiduna Mughirah bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a hadith of this kind from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
