Hadith 861
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ أَمَرَ عَلِيًّا فَوَضَعَ لَهُ غُسْلًا ثُمَّ أَعْطَاهُ ثَوْبًا فَقَالَ: ((اسْتُرْنِي وَوَلِّنِي ظَهْرَكَ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) instructed Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), so he prepared the water for the Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) bath. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) gave him a cloth and said: Cover me with this and turn your back towards me.
Hadith 862
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنَّ مُوسَى بْنَ عِمْرَانَ كَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْمَاءَ لَمْ يُلْقِ ثَوْبَهُ حَتَّى يُوَارِيَ عَوْرَتَهُ بِالْمَاءِ))
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: Indeed, when Musa bin Imran (peace be upon him) intended to enter the water, he would not remove his clothes until he had covered the private parts with water.
Hadith 863
عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ حَيِيُّ سِتِّيرٌ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يَغْتَسِلَ فَلْيَتَوَارَ بِشَيْءٍ))
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Verily, Allah Almighty is very modest and concealing, so when a person intends to bathe, he should cover himself with something.
Hadith 864
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يُحِبُّ الْحَيَاءَ وَالسِّتْرَ))
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ya'la bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Verily, Allah Almighty loves modesty and concealment.
Hadith 865
عَنْ أَبِي مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ (بِنْتِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ) رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا ذَهَبَتْ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ قَالَتْ: فَوَجَدْتُهُ يَغْتَسِلُ وَفَاطِمَةُ تَسْتُرُهُ بِثَوْبٍ، (الْحَدِيثُ) سَيَأْتِي بِتَمَامِهِ فِي غَزْوَةِ فَتْحِ مَكَّةَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى
It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Hani (RA) that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, she went to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She says: I found the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in the state that he was performing ghusl (ritual bath), and Sayyida Fatima (RA) was screening him with a cloth... (This complete hadith will be mentioned in the chapter of the Battle of the Conquest of Makkah.)
Hadith 866
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((بَيْنَمَا أَيُّوبُ يَغْتَسِلُ عُرْيَانًا خَرَّ عَلَيْهِ جَرَادٌ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ، فَجَعَلَ أَيُّوبُ يَحْثِي فِي ثَوْبِهِ، فَنَادَاهُ رَبُّهُ يَا أَيُّوبُ! أَلَمْ أَكُنْ أَغْنَيْتُكَ عَمَّا تَرَى؟ قَالَ: بَلَى يَا رَبِّ، وَلَكِنْ لَا غِنًى بِي عَنْ بَرَكَتِكَ))
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him) was bathing in a naked state when golden locusts began to fall upon him. Prophet Ayyub (peace be upon him) started gathering them in his garment. His Lord called out to him: O Ayyub! Did I not make you independent of that which you see? He replied: Yes indeed, O my Lord! But there is no indifference from Your blessing.
